Color Mixing - Pixy
Utilizing the three primary colors to enable kids to discover the creation of new colors
What is a Primary and Secondary Colors ?
Primary Colors are colors that cannot be created through the mixing of other colors. They are colors in their own right. The three primary colors RED - YELLOW - BLUE. Primary colors can be mixed together to produce SECONDARY COLORS.
How are we teaching today ?
In classrooms today teachers uses a color wheel to show how color mixing works. With the color wheel that already had shown what is the outcome of two colors mixing together, it really limited how kids can explore them.
Let’s play with colors !
With color already being part of art, there is a need to change how children understand the use of color. We don’t have to use a color wheel to teach color, they can explore and discover on their own. Color is everywhere in the world, by combine the lights and color this can really expand a children’s imagination.
